Hawthorne Gold Corp. is a Vancouver based company with an advanced gold exploration project in the Cariboo region of British Columbia. The property contains historical resources and underground workings. There is a large land package that has excellent exploration potential to expand existing resources. The company will be opening a field office in Kamloops in late 2007 and is also actively pursuing additional projects.
GIS Technician
We are currently hiring a full-time GIS Technician. The successful candidate will possess good working knowledge in GIS applications using ArcGIS 9.2 and database management using SQLServer 2005 and Microsoft Access and/or DataShed.
Candidates who have previous experience in mining and good working knowledge of 3D modeling with SURPAC Minex or who have a degree in Geology will be considered first.
Exploration Manager
The company requires an experienced Exploration Manager to assist in advancing this and future projects. The successful professional will report to the Vice President, Operations and have responsibility for the company's exploration activities including, but not limited to planning & implementation of exploration programs, geological and resource modeling to support scoping and feasibility studies. The position will be based in the Company's new Kamloops, BC exploration office. The successful applicant will possess:
A geology, geological engineering or mining engineering degree with professional qualifications.
Have a minimum of 15 years exploration-related experience.
A keen, hands-on, self-motivated approach to exploration.
The ability to manage multiple exploration projects.
Membership in a professional organization in order to be considered a Qualified Person as described under Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Exploration Geologists
The company is looking for at least two exploration geologists to assist in our field programs consisting of geological mapping, core logging, sampling and all related duties. The candidate must possess a degree in geology and have a minimum of three (3) years experience. The ideal person will have experience in geological and geographical data management, have a willingness to learn, a good work ethic and the desire to be part of a successful gold mining company.
